Det \u00e4r dock ingenting man m\u00e4rker n\u00e4r man \u00e4r d\u00e4r.<br \/>\n<\/strong>(Klicka p\u00e5 bilderna f\u00f6r f\u00f6rstoring)<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>P\u00e5 Adels\u00f6, eller med ett \u00e4ldre namn Alsnu, har m\u00e4nniskor bott sedan innan dagens \u00f6 hade stigit upp ur havet, n\u00e4rmare best\u00e4mt p\u00e5 sten\u00e5ldern. Vid denna tid bestod det som senare kom att kallas Adels\u00f6 av flera mindre \u00f6ar som stack upp ur en vik av \u00d6stersj\u00f6n. I takt med att landh\u00f6jningen fick mer och mer av \u00f6n att h\u00f6ja sig ur havet, och i takt med att samma process skapade br\u00e4ckvattensj\u00f6n M\u00e4laren, blev \u00f6n allt mer intressant f\u00f6r m\u00e4nniskorna. En indikator p\u00e5 detta \u00e4r de forngravar som finns p\u00e5 \u00f6n. H\u00e4r finns gravar fr\u00e5n \u00e4ldre och yngre brons\u00e5lder, men de flesta \u00e4r fr\u00e5n j\u00e4rn\u00e5ldern och vikingatiden.<\/p>\n<p>Under vikingatiden fick Adels\u00f6 stor betydelse, tack vare n\u00e4rheten till Birka, vikingatidens st\u00f6rsta svenska stad, som var bel\u00e4gen p\u00e5 Bj\u00f6rko s\u00f6der om Adels\u00f6. Kungen som styrde \u00f6ver Birka hade \u00e4ven en kungsg\u00e5rd p\u00e5 \u00f6n, i vilken han bodde under en del av \u00e5ret. Senare, under medeltiden, hade m\u00e5nga kungar och st\u00e5th\u00e5llare sina sommarpalats p\u00e5 \u00f6n.
